A Double Celebration!

12/25/2013

Today, December 25, is special for two reasons.

First of all, it's Christmas Day, a time to celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ!

Also, David & I are celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary today!  A quarter of a century.  I can hardly believe it!  So blessed!

Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and a Healthy & Prosperous 2014!

Isn't she gorgeous? Sharing a few portraits from Trinity's Senior Session.  Her favourite?  The one taken on the stairs at an old farmhouse!

Granny has that twinkle in her eye! In this season of goodwill, she is visiting  the Angela McClain Photography blog to wish everyone a Happy Christmas & a Prosperous New Year!

My mother-in-law recently stopped by with some Christmas decorations that she no longer had use for, and this granny doll was one of the items that needed to be re-homed.  We welcomed her with open arms, and she has been paying for her keep by modeling for me as I practice with my studio lighting!  Even when I'm playing with the lighting in the wee hours, she poses tirelessly and without complaint!  (As long as I keep a supply of hot cocoa handy!)

Stephen and his mom Rebecca are members of the Upper Ohio Valley Camera Club, and it really warms my heart to see them enjoying photography, and doing so many things together!  We occasionally meet up to do night shots,  such as creating star trails and light painting.  Stephen and I recently captured a huge fireball meteor that turned the night to day for about 5 seconds!  It was a surreal night, to say the least!  Another thing we have in common is our Greek background.  Stephen & I can speak a bit of Greek together, and his mom makes the best baklava!
