After much soul-searching, I have decided to focus on surrealism and fine art photography. It the area of photography where my heart lies, and I am going to take a hiatus from my business in order to gain as much knowledge and experience as I can before seeking commissions in this field. I will complete any outstanding jobs and will continue my sessions with The Tiny Footprints Project, but will not be taking on any other work for the time being. Thank you all for your encouragement and support. It is very much appreciated!

Exciting news! Although many of my clients prefer to receive digital files nowadays, I have decided to reintroduce a print pricing option for those who prefer to receive traditional prints. For details, click 'Investment (Prints)' or 'Investment (Digital)' at top of page. I am happy to be able to offer this additional option, for those who have requested it! Have a wonderful Thursday, everyone!
The Sojourn
I have been busy building skills and experience in the area of Fine Art Portraiture. It is my passion and focus now for my photography business. My goal to be commissioned to create unique & beautiful photographic works of art for my clients, and to have my images displayed in art galleries around the country. Lofty dreams indeed, but I dare to dream and I leave the rest in God's hands! I hope that everyone had a wonderful Easter Sunday! I apologize for the silence on my page, but I have been doing a lot of soul-searching lately, and I have begun a focusing on a new direction with my photography. I have fallen in love with fine art photography, particularly surrealism. There has been so much to learn, but I find this form of photography fascinating and immensely enjoyable! As I gain skills in this area, my goal is to be commissioned to create fine art portraits for my clients, and also to have my work displayed in art galleries around the country. I have been cutting back on my conventional portrait sessions in order to focus on building up my fine art skills. I will still honour any bookings that I already have, but I will only schedule future sessions on a limited basis in order to devote my time to my new photographic passion! I will upload some of my pieces periodically so that you can get a feel for the sort of work I am doing now. I will start with the image and caption below. I am excited about this new venture and appreciate the encouragement I have received! Sometimes I feel so burdened with the cares of this world. I want to break these heavy chains and reach for the stars.

Today, December 25, is special for two reasons.
Isn't she gorgeous? Sharing a few portraits from Trinity's Senior Session. Her favourite? The one taken on the stairs at an old farmhouse!
My mother-in-law recently stopped by with some Christmas decorations that she no longer had use for, and this granny doll was one of the items that needed to be re-homed. We welcomed her with open arms, and she has been paying for her keep by modeling for me as I practice with my studio lighting! Even when I'm playing with the lighting in the wee hours, she poses tirelessly and without complaint! (As long as I keep a supply of hot cocoa handy!)
Stephen and his mom Rebecca are members of the Upper Ohio Valley Camera Club, and it really warms my heart to see them enjoying photography, and doing so many things together! We occasionally meet up to do night shots, such as creating star trails and light painting. Stephen and I recently captured a huge fireball meteor that turned the night to day for about 5 seconds! It was a surreal night, to say the least! Another thing we have in common is our Greek background. Stephen & I can speak a bit of Greek together, and his mom makes the best baklava!
